Rishi's Special Achievement

The Executive Committee of BSPC is delighted to inform you that our young star Rishi Dutta become the Australian Junior Champion (under-14) in Chess Competition 2014. In 2012, Rishi also won the Under-12 NSW Junior Championship Title. Rishi is the eldest son of our society member Mr Debashis Dutta and Jin Dutta. Achievements in Selective School Test 2014

The Society congratulates the following youngsters from our Society who have been successful in the Selective School Placement Test of 2015.


Antik Halder, Girraween High School, Antik is the son of our member Mr Sajal Halder and Mrs Shilpi Rani Bepary.


Bidhu Ghosh, Sydney Boys High School, Bidhu is the son of our member Dr Bikash Ghosh and Mrs Binita Ghosh.


Sudipto Goswami, Penrith High School, Sudipto is our Bangla School student, and son of Mr Anupam Goswami and Shormistha Phani.

Special Achievements of Our Youngsters

The Society congratulates the following youngsters from our Society for their special achevements.


Debadrita Guha

Debadrita Guha (Titli), who is currently studying in her first year of a combined advanced science/arts degree at the University of New South Wales, has been recognised for her poetry in the local UNSW literary scene. Her poetry was recently published in the prestigious annual UNSW literary journal, UNSWeetened, which yearly showcases the university's best and brightest poets and writers. Two of her pieces made it through the tough judging process, conducted by guest industry professionals.

Titli is the daughter of the Society's current Treasurer Mr Sandip Guha and Mrs Sreyasee Guha.



Sharmistha Mohajan

Sharmishta Mohajan has been selected for Opportunity Class at Kingswood Public School in the OC Placement for 2007. studied at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School in St. Marys and this year at Claremont meadows Public School, Clarmont Meadows.

Sharmistha received a lots of trophies and certificates for her outstanding academic achievements and local Society activities. She shows extraordinary skills in science & music; and received a state finalist medal from Premier Bee spelling competition 2006 at ABC Radio and Television broadcasting center. She loves reading, music, sports and spelling & new word search.


Sharmistha is the daughter of Nilima Mohajan & Sanjib Mohajan (Pintu) from Claremont Meadows.

The Society congratulates the following youngsters from our Society who have been successful in the Selective School Placement Test of 2007.


Anannya Bhattacharya

Anannya Bhattacharya (Ritu) has received an offer from Sydney Girls High School in this year’s Selective School Placement Test for Year 7 in 2008. In the past, she also attained a place in the Opportunity Class (OC). She is currently studying at the Woollahra Public School, Woollahra.

Anannya has an enormous hunger for books and has the enthusiastic ability to read books with good comprehension. She has also passion for public speaking & debate, Bengali music and dance. She won several prizes and received awards for her academic excellence and extra curricular activities.


Anannya is the daughter of Mr Paramesh Bhattacharya and Mrs Swapna Bhattacharya.




Avanti Mohajan

Avanti Mohajan has received a place at the Penrith High School, Penrith in this year’s Selective School Placement Test for Year 7 in 2008. She is currently studying at Kingswood Public School in the Opportunity Class (OC) in Year 6.

Avanti received lots of trophies and certificates for her outstanding academic achievements and local Society activities. She shows her extraordinary skills in Arts, music, computer multi media & English writing at different place. She loves reading/writing, music, Arts and working in visual arts, Animal and veterinary science. In future she wants to be veterinary doctor.


Avanti is the daughter of Nilima Mohajan & Sanjib Mohajan (Pintu) from Claremont Meadows.




Moumita Chowdhury

Moumita Chowdhury has received a place at the Penrith High School, Penrith in this year’s Selective School Placement Test for Year 7 in 2008. She achieved many awards in different times including Principles Academic Awards, Principles Individual Award, Teachers Excellence Award from her school.

Besides her studies, Moumita has been involved in learning Indian Dances like Bharat Natyam, Kathyak, and Odyssey etc. from different Dance teachers and to sing Bengali songs. She actively participates and achieved awards for her different activities such as Art and debate competitions organised by BSPC.


Moumita is the daughter of Mr Subal Chowdhury and Mrs Priti Chowdhury.




Partho Saha (Pappu)

Partho Saha (Pappu) has achieved a seat at Baulkham Hills High School in this year’s Selective School Placement Test for Year 7 in 2008. In the past, he also secured a seat for the Opportunity Class (OC). Currently, he is studying at Quakers Hill Primary School.

Partho has been a member of the Student Representative Council (SRC). He captained Quakers Hill Public School PSSA Cricket 2006 and became Premiers. Under Partho’s captaincy Blacktown RSL Club Under-10 cricket team made the Grand Final for the Blacktown District Competition 2006. Partho received many Principal Awards and numerous Excellency Awards in Mathematics, and Visual Arts. He participated in the Young Scientist Award 2006 and received an Encouragement Award. He loves to read books, play chess and watch TV quiz shows


Partho is the son of Pradip Saha and Paramita Saha.




Srestha Sarothi Mazumder

Srestha Sarothi Mazumder is successful in this year’s Selective School Placement Test and offered a position in the Macquarie Fields selective high school for Year 7 in 2008.

Over the years of both Campsie Public and Minto Public Schools, Srestha has received many awards such as academic excellence, literature, premiers reading challenge and others. She also has been in the newspapers for couple of times due to her success in the Premieres Reading Challenge 2006, and her contribution for the re-opening of school museum. In 2007, Shretha has been elected as a prefect in her school and contributing to the school management as a canteen minister and library monitor.


During leisure times Srestha plays tennis, enjoy movies and cartoons. Every Sunday she visits Minto temple and participates in the Hindu philosophy and culture class.


Srestha is the daughter of Dr. Debashish Mazumder and Mrs. Heaven Mazumder.
